Tampa Bay fans got another night of baseball. The Rays scored two runs in the bottom of the 12th inning at Tropicana Field on Tuesday to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3, evening the World Series at three games apiece. The crowd of 40,514 watched Milwaukee take the lead in the top of the inning before Tampa Bay answered.

Cooper Pratt hit a home run off Ian Seymour to put Milwaukee ahead in the top of the 12th. It was the 22-year-old rookie's fourth hit of the game. In the bottom half, the Rays tied it after third baseman Joey Ortiz threw wide on Junior Caminero's leadoff grounder. Liam Hicks singled, and Jonny DeLuca singled to center to bring home pinch-runner Cedric Mullins and tie the game at 3. Chandler Simpson then loaded the bases. Ben Williamson, who had one hit in 15 postseason at-bats, hit a chopper over first baseman Jake Bauers into right field to score the deciding run. "That was totally what I told him to do," Rays manager Kevin Cash said, drawing laughs.

Pratt had tied the game at 1 with a double in the second inning and gave Milwaukee the lead again with his home run in the 12th. Hamilton also homered for the Brewers, driving an 0-2 pitch from Griffin Jax into the right-field seats. Simpson hit an RBI double in the second. Milwaukee tied the game in the fourth on Pratt's double after a two-out single by Frelick. Caminero left the game with an ailing left foot, but Cash said he would play Wednesday night. "He'll play tomorrow on one leg. I'll make sure of it," Cash said.

Tampa Bay became the fourth team in World Series history to win an elimination game with an extra-inning comeback, according to OptaSTATS. The first three won the championship: the 1912 Red Sox, the 1986 Mets and the 2011 Cardinals. Tampa Bay also became the fifth of 26 teams trailing 3-0 in the World Series to win Game 4. Williamson said the rally reflected the team's approach. "It just shows the resiliency of this group," Williamson said. "We continue to fight, and that's been the motto this series and this full season, is just fight." Milwaukee's Christian Yelich said the series would test both clubs. "If you want to win a championship, you've got to survive some hard things," Yelich said.

Game 5 is set for Wednesday night at Tropicana Field. Milwaukee will start NL Cy Young Award favorite Jacob Misiorowski. Cash said he had not picked a starter. The Brewers had won eight straight games before Tuesday night and were seeking a sweep. Milwaukee was trying to become only the second team to sweep a League Championship Series and the World Series.
