Ravens offensive lineman Vega Ioane has a sprained MCL and is not expected to miss an extended stretch, according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. Ioane left Baltimore's 35-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday and did not return. He will miss some time, but the injury is considered short-term.
The play happened in the first half. A defender's helmet struck Ioane's knee as he ran downfield to help on a short pass. He stayed in for one more snap, then headed to the sideline. Emery Jones Jr. took over at right guard after Ioane left.
Baltimore's offensive line has already lost three centers to long-term injuries this season: Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic. Ioane started the year at right guard, then moved to center for three games to fill in. He was drafted 14th overall in the first round. The Ravens added veteran center Cam Jurgens earlier this month, and Jurgens made his first start for Baltimore against Cincinnati, which let Ioane go back to right guard.
The Ravens are 0-1 after Sunday's game and visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Nov. 1.
