MedHaven Health reopened its clinic at 1600 Crain Highway South, Suite 201, Glen Burnie, on September 1, 2026, ending a disruption that began when Empire Towers was evacuated on July 9, 2026. The evacuation followed structural concerns involving the building's parking garage. The practice left behind examination rooms, medical equipment and supplies at the prior site, and offered limited telehealth visits while preparing the new office.
With the suite now operating, the practice has resumed primary care and family medicine, annual physicals, preventive screenings, women's health visits, Pap smears, contraception and IUD services, chronic disease management, vaccinations, STI testing, and support for mental health, addiction treatment and weight management. Same-day sick visits may be available depending on scheduling. The practice serves patients from Glen Burnie, Pasadena, Severn, Ferndale, Millersville and surrounding Anne Arundel County communities, and accepts Medicare, Maryland Medicaid and many commercial insurance plans.
"Our biggest concern throughout this experience has been our patients and making sure they continue receiving the care they need," said Oluwakemi Balogun, CRNP, FNP-BC, Medical Director of MedHaven Health. "It has been a difficult journey, but we're grateful to be open again and continue serving the community that has supported us."
For patients managing diabetes, high blood pressure or other ongoing health concerns, in-person visits allow regular examinations, follow-up appointments and continued contact with their care team. The practice states that it listens to patients, explains treatment options and makes decisions together with them. Patients are encouraged to confirm coverage and appointment availability when scheduling.
Office hours run Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Appointments and additional information are available through the practice at 301-501-5779.
